Home Delivery App for Kirana Shops

e-Kirana lets your kirana shop run its own home delivery — no third-party aggregator taking a cut of every order. You assign a delivery partner, batch nearby orders into one trip, and both you and your customer watch the rider move on a live map until the parcel reaches the door.

It is the full delivery stack built into the same software that runs your billing, inventory and your own online store — so an order placed on your shop's store flows straight into dispatch without any copy-paste.

The delivery stack, end to end

"Home delivery" is not one feature — it is a chain of small jobs that all have to work together. Here is what e-Kirana handles for each step.

StepWhat e-Kirana does
Delivery-partner registryAdd your riders once and reuse them. Each partner has a profile, and onboarding is a simple QR scan — they open the partner app, scan, and they are linked to your shop.
Order batchingGroup several orders heading the same way into one trip, with route optimisation so the rider takes a sensible path instead of doubling back.
Zones, slots & feesSet delivery zones, choose time-slots customers can pick, and decide your own delivery fee — free above a cart value, flat charge, or by distance.
Delivery-partner appThe rider sees their assigned stops, captures proof of delivery, and records COD (cash on delivery) collection for clean settlement back to you.
Live GPS trackingYou and the customer both watch the rider on a live map — no more "where is my order?" phone calls.
Third-party optionPrefer not to run your own riders? Hand the trip to a hyperlocal courier (Shiprocket Quick) instead — the same order, delivered by someone else.

Own riders or a courier — your choice

Most kirana shops already have a boy on a cycle or bike for nearby drops. e-Kirana turns that into a proper system: register the rider, assign orders, and track them live. But on a busy evening, or for a far-off order, you can instead push the delivery to an optional third-party hyperlocal service (Shiprocket Quick). Use your own riders for the regular load and the courier for overflow — you are never forced into one model. For wider reach, you can hand an order to Shiprocket Quick, which offers same-day hyperlocal delivery in major metros (Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad). Separately, Shiprocket's pan-India shipping network reaches 19,000+ pincodes (Shiprocket's claim).

How a delivery flows

  1. 1. Order arrives. A customer orders on your online store, the customer app, or you ring it up at the counter — it lands in your dispatch list.
  2. 2. Batch & assign. Group orders going the same direction and assign them to a delivery partner; route optimisation orders the stops for them.
  3. 3. Rider delivers. The partner app guides the rider stop by stop. They capture proof of delivery and log any COD cash collected.
  4. 4. Everyone tracks live. You and the customer follow the rider on a live GPS map until the order is marked delivered and COD is settled back to your books.

Why e-Kirana

Unlike billing-only or digital-khata apps — many good apps focus on the bill or the ledger — e-Kirana gives your shop its own branded online store and home deliverytogether. The order a customer places on your store is the same order your rider delivers; nothing is re-keyed, and you are not renting space on someone else's marketplace.

Because delivery lives inside the same desktop software as billing, GST invoicing and inventory, your stock, your invoice and your delivery all stay in sync. With automatic UPI payment verification, a customer can order, pay and track — all without you leaving the counter.

Honest pricing

e-Kirana is premium, paid software — no ads, and you own your store and your data. The Standard plan is ₹2,999/year and Business is ₹4,999/year, both plus 18% GST, billed annually. There is no free trial: you pay upfront and get the full delivery stack, online store and billing from day one.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own delivery boys to use this?

No. You can use your own riders — register them and assign orders — or hand deliveries to an optional third-party hyperlocal courier (Shiprocket Quick). Many shops do both: own riders for nearby orders, courier for the rest.

Can the customer see where their order is?

Yes. Once a rider is on the way, both you and your customer can watch the delivery move on a live GPS map, so you stop fielding "where is my order?" calls.

How do I handle cash-on-delivery orders?

The delivery-partner app records the COD amount collected against each order, so settlement back to your shop is clean and you can see what every rider owes you.

Can I batch several orders into one trip?

Yes. Group orders heading the same way into a single trip and let route optimisation order the stops, so a rider delivers more in less time and fuel.

Is delivery separate software, or part of e-Kirana?

It is built into e-Kirana. The same Windows software runs your billing, GST invoicing, inventory, your own online store and home delivery — one tool, no separate logins.
